"Beat The Heat"

As it is now the making of what appears to be another sweltering summer, folk of all ages, and from all walks of life are looking for ways to "Beat the Heat."  Some stay inside air conditioned homes, others seek outdoor water activities, the eating of cool foods such as ice cream, Popsicles, snow cones, think "cool" thoughts, and the like.  Any number of news agencies give advice on how to beat the heat.

It is recommended that we check on the elderly, monitor the activities of young children, and keep pets indoors when feasible.  Yes, there is so much good advice and all sorts of creativity is manifested when trying to "Beat The Heat" of seasonal Summers.

Did you know that there is a heat that is greater than the thermometers of man can measure?  However, we should pay just as close attention to all the warnings, advice, and creativity that God has given in beating this heat.  This is not the heat of a seasonal summer but of a perpetual Hell.

Isn't it ironic how we adhere to the warnings of man, yet seemingly ignore the warnings, commandments and admonishments of God?  The heavenly newsroom has sent word of this impending heat wave to come. When man "predicts" an impending danger it appears that we are the proverbial listeners of E. F. Hutton. However, God gives the "absolute" and "True" yet instead of obedience we simply say something cavalier such as, "God knows my heart'; The Lord understands what I'm going through."  While both are more factual than we may sometimes pay attention to; God also knows what He has commanded!

Matthew 28:19 gives us our Great Commission, "Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen." In short, we can help multitudes "Beat The Heat."

We should monitor the activities of our Youth; check on the elderly, widows, orphans, and the homeless; admonish the Boys in the Hood and the Boys in the Hi-Rise; the neighbor around the corner as well as the neighbor across the street.  We can develop creative ideas to help all "Beat The Heat."  Give folk some "Cool Thoughts" (Philippians 4:8).  So why not, during this Seasonal Summer, help someone beat the Eternal Heat wave?!!!

Be Cool and Very Blessed!
